Roger Wilson fondly recalls his first job at Nampa Floors & Interiors - working in the warehouse and learning to install carpet and vinyl. "I think I was about 12 years old and my dad's company paid me about $1 per hour to help out and learn the business." Today, he's just wrapped up the relocation of Nampa Floors & Interiors at 2121 E. Plaza Road, off Franklin Road in Nampa. His parents, Dale and Elaine Wilson, cofounded the business more than 50 years ago. It remains a family-owned business with Roger and Linda Wilson at the helm. Elaine Wilson, still reports for work every day, handling the payables. His father, Dale, died in 2002. For both residential and commercial customers, Nampa Floors & Interiors stocks flooring materials such as hardwood, bamboo, stone, carpet, area rugs, tile, granite, vinyl and laminate. All solid surface materials for countertops are available, including granite and quartz - the latest design craze. “It's the service from our staff that keeps customers returning to us. Our customers are excited for us and that tells me we're doing something right.”
